It's so good don't tell everyone!
Spender, NE England Review Submitted: March 18, 2011 Date of Stay: December 2010
We stayed at the Red Door in December 2010. This cottage gives you every thing you need. Pamper yourselves and book it now.
Red Door is tastefully decorated, well equipped and the art work is great. It is situated within walking distance from the City centre (we are walkers, did the coast to coast whilst in Auckland on this trip), and shops, wine bars and restaurants, at the Merivale centre.  It’s quiet and rather exclusive.
If were not for the 11749 miles, that my wife and would have to travel to get to it, we would be back next week!
If you do book it, don’t tell every one, we want to book it for a long term rent in two or three years time, God willing.

A Perfect Place
Jude, East Yorkshire, UK Review Submitted: January 19, 2011 Date of Stay: December 2010
This house was beautifully presented and lived up to the photographs shown. We really enjoyed our stay here, with the comfortable beds, and the many extras provided, including the speedy internet connection. The furnishings, artwork and ceramics were lovely and the kitchen equipment second to none. The small but neat garden and verandah was enjoyed too. The location so close to the city centre and the local amenities was excellent. Quick responses to enquiries and a very trusting owner regarding payment was very much appreciated. We'd love to come back stay here again. Many thanks to Jenny. Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers

Delightful, delightful home!
Rod & Linda Elkins Park, PA, USA Review Submitted: August 1, 2010 Date of Stay: June 2010
We stayed at Red Door for five weeks, and we were entirely happy with it. The location in Merivale is great, in a beautiful suburb with easy access to the town center. The house is beautiful, with sun through its picture windows almost all day. It is well furnished, and the kitchen is fully equipped – the sort of house where you step in the door and everything is there. Nothing, we repeat, nothing has been forgotten to make one's stay as comfortable and homelike as possible. (We suspect that Jenny and John really enjoy fitting up a house.) The place is cosy and warm in the winter.

We highly recommend a stay at this house. (Note that the house is excellent by American standards.)
